The Cuckmere Cross

David Hensel is known internationally for his sculptural jewellery, and his work is in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Arts Council. The cross is small (6.5 cm x 5.5 cm) so that it can be worn around the neck or framed. The crucifix posture is combined with that of praise to convey the suffering that takes away suffering – the death that conquers death.

Each is cast and finished by hand in bronze.
