Cuckmere Pilgrim Path

Berwick Church sits in the beautiful landscape of the South Downs and there are various walks from the church. A new signed route has been created which takes in seven local churches on a circular walk of approximately 12 miles (19 km) and is called The Cuckmere Pilgrim Path. As well as magnificent views of the Sussex countryside, this trail takes in several Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), protected habitats which are species rich and of important conservation value (a botanical guide to the route is available).
