Lisa Shekede and Stephen Rickerby are wall painting conservators with a portfolio of UK and international work.

The rock-cut and constructed churches of Ethiopia preserve an ancient, unique and little-known wall painting heritage. Widely scattered across mountainous terrain and typically hidden in remote locations, both the churches and their vibrant paintings are now at risk from a range of threats. This illustrated presentation describes the history of these churches and the challenges of preserving their paintings.

Tickets for this event are £5 per person and will be available shortly on Eventbrite.
