Developing Discipleship Study Morning: George Bell, the Visual Arts and the Church

10.00 am to 1.00 pm Saturday 6th September 2008 Led by The Very Revd Nicholas Frayling, Dean of Chichester and the Revd Peter Blee, Rector of Berwick and Selmeston-cum-Alciston

Berwick church is a listed building of great importance on account of the ‘Bloomsbury Group’ murals. Bishop Bell, whose death fifty years ago we commemorate this year, was instrumental in encouraging the project.

As well as providing the opportunity to study the Berwick murals in context, the study morning will also provide and opportunity to learn more about the national importance of Bishop Bell to the revival of Christian arts in England.
